Welcome to KoELSA’s website

President & CEO, Korea Elevator Safety Agency
Korea is a leading nation in the global elevator industry, possessing the 7th highest number of elevators since the first elevator was installed at the Bank of Chosun for transporting money in 1910.
KoELSA is the only elevator safety specialist agency in Korea, established to carry out systematically duties such as elevator safety management and research, development, and distribution of elevator safety technology in order to contribute to the safety and happiness of the people and to lead the development of the elevator industry.
Elevators are becoming more diverse and advanced in line with the diversity of modern society and technological innovation based on the 4th Industrial Revolution. Therefore, a high level of expertise is required in the safety management of elevators.
KoELSA will do its best to stand as the safety powerhouse of the world’s leading elevators and lead change and drive innovative growth by making national safety a top priority and communicating with various stakeholders, such as industry, academe, and related organizations.
In addition, KoELSA will fulfill its responsibilities as a public agency by thinking from the people’s perspective, promoting its business, and realizing social values in cooperation with local communities.
